How Belmar Gate Services Got Started
Belmar Gate Services was founded in 2017 by Sean Dawson, who spent over a decade doing installation and service work for a larger gate and fencing company before deciding to go out on his own. Sean had noticed a gap in the Amarillo market: customers needed a gate company they could actually rely on — one that showed up, gave them straight answers, and did the work correctly without overcharging or over-promising.
Starting with residential gate work in Amarillo's neighborhoods, Belmar Gate Services steadily grew through referrals and repeat customers. Word got around that Sean was the kind of contractor who did what he said he'd do — something that turns out to be rarer than it should be in the trades.
Today, Belmar Gate Services handles everything from small residential repairs to full commercial gate system installations across Amarillo and the surrounding Texas Panhandle region. Sean Dawson has been working in the gate and fencing industry for over 15 years. He started out doing installations for a larger company before going out on his own and founding Belmar Gate Services. Sean handles everything from automated gate systems to manual installations and repairs.
He knows the work inside and out, which means fewer callbacks and better results for his customers. Sean built his reputation by showing up on time, giving honest estimates, and doing the job right the first time. Locals trust him because he treats every job like it matters, whether it's a small repair or a full custom installation.
